Affirmation: I manage Job stress

There's something that can be learned from all of us regarding communication, trust and building stronger relationships. We're all human, and this tends to make our communication styles similar at times. But there are subtle differences in how we respond to different situations which leaves room for misunderstandings and sometimes create barriers rather than build rapport.  This can cause unneeded stress.  Use the following Affirmation to help manage yourself through.

I manage job stress.


I am happy and productive at work.


I help create a friendly and inclusive workplace. I develop mutually supportive relationships. I meet one-on-one with my supervisor to clarify priorities and expectations. I exchange constructive feedback with my coworkers.


I encourage teamwork. I resolve conflicts promptly and respectfully. I communicate tactfully and directly. I listen attentively. I share credit and collaborate to reach common goals.


I focus on one task at a time. This action helps me to achieve superior results with less effort and frustration.


I take regular breaks to relax and recharge. I chat with my colleagues. I go out for lunch.


I keep my office neat and organized. I prevent clutter from accumulating on my desk. I use digital tools to minimize the number of paper documents I need to handle. I designate specific spaces for items I frequently use.


I listen to my body. I scan myself from head to toe to relieve any signs of tension. I take deep breaths. I massage my forehead and relax my shoulders. I adjust my chair to provide greater comfort and support. I alternate between sitting and standing.


I use appropriate humor to lighten the mood. I share jokes and funny stories.


I balance my home and work life. I avoid excessive overtime. I switch off after office hours. I socialize with family and friends and enjoy my hobbies.


Today, I take charge of how I react to stress at work. I feel confident and calm.
